Spring is Here!

In fact, it has felt a lot like summer even.
It has been sunny and in the 70's since Tuesday and even in the 80's on Friday.

Here is some of the fun we had this past week and this Easter weekend!

This is Aurora contemplating the beauties of nature right before we went to the Aboretum to enjoy them.

Meeting up with friends...

Having lots of fun at the little fish pond...

And the beauties of nature...

Lexington literally blossomed over night this week!

Then, on Friday night my parents came to visit for the Easter weekend.
We went to Keeneland for "Breakfast with the Works" and saw the horses.

Grandpa bought Aurora a stuffed horse, mainly because it had a tag on it that said "Aurora"

She loved it!

Then Lil A received her Easter basket.

There was a small egg hunt-- about 3 eggs with goldfish crackers in them. I'm not giving her candy until at least her 1st birthday.
She figured out how to open the eggs and get to the crackers in like 3 seconds.
I'm telling you the girl is gifted.

We watched General Conference at our house mostly but Sunday morning, we put Aurora in her Easter dress and went to church to hear the prophet speak there.

Thanks Grandma Thomas for the beautiful dress!

Nature continues to blossom in my own yard.
One of my lilac bushes:

I love this time of year so very much.  It is so beautiful and springing with life.  It gives me so much hope and reminds me to turn to the source of all life, the Savior, Jesus Christ.

Happy Spring Day! Happy Easter!

  1. Oh good heavens I am loving her Easter dress, boy does she look darling. You are making me awfully excited for a little girl. YOu are so lucky I so miss the spring time in Kentucky we have had snow this last week here in Utah and it just doesn't feel quite like Easter should feel with snow on the ground.

  2. What a beautiful Easter dress. Isn't it wonderful to live in such a beautiful corner of the world? I hope the flowering trees last for a few more weeks. :)
