So we had some disappointment today. We went to the courthouse today to finalize the adoption. After waiting about an hour and never seeing the judge, we were told we have to come back tomorrow to have it finalized because of some small changes that needed to be done to the paperwork. (Have you noticed a theme lately in the adoption story... The paperwork is the root of all evil).
At first, I took the news well and I think Jared did too. Momma A was rather upset though. Then as we walked away Jared seemed to become more and more angry and I became more and more sad. It really was quite painfully acute the disappointment. We still all have faith that this will work out and before Saturday's sealing session but I just have to say...."Really?! Come on!"
I pray that things will work out!! And soon!
ReplyDeleteI don't know if this is normal or what, cause I have a friend who is going through the EXACT same thing. They even had to move their sealing date back a month and everything because the paperwork is holding the adoption up. And they have been working on it for about 6 months. How sad.
